dgshipping.gov.in Is Permanently Dead — Here’s Where Everything Moved
If you typed dgshipping.gov.in and got nothing — that website is gone. Permanently shut down on 31 March 2026. It will not come back.
This is not a temporary outage. It is a deliberate, planned migration under the Merchant Shipping Act 2025 which renamed the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) to the Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA). New name. New domain. All services migrated.

Why It Changed
The Merchant Shipping Act 2025 replaced the Merchant Shipping Act 1958 — the first comprehensive update in over six decades. Along with expanded regulatory scope came the new name: Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA).
The new website at dgma.gov.in launched in phases through late 2025 and early 2026. March 31, 2026 was the hard cutoff date for the old domain.

RPSL companies, MTIs, and maritime companies: all regulatory submissions, compliance filings, CIP applications, and RPSL renewals are now processed through dgma.gov.in. The old portal submission system is defunct.
