Read this before you plan around the table above. Physics 50 and Mathematics 50 are consistently
reported as the two largest sections — together, half the paper. Published sources differ on how the
remaining 100 marks split between Chemistry, English, Aptitude and GK, and the split can change year to year.
Confirm against the official IMU Information Bulletin for your exam year before you commit study time to it.
The −0.25 rule, in one line: if you can eliminate two of the four options, attempt it — the maths is in your
favour. If you can eliminate one or none, skip it. A blank costs 0. A wrong guess costs 0.25 and the mark
you might have had.
